[ For now Dirk is staying holed up in his cabin trying to get his bearings, reading through old entries on his communication device. Most of what he skims is completely meaningless to him, but he gets the basic idea.

Prison ship. Rehabilitation. Ha ha ha, yeah, no. ]

I'll spare you the "You're a bunch of big meanie kidnappers, I want to go home, woe is me", as I'm sure you've heard it a million times before, but know that the sentiment is there all the same.

I do have a few questions, though.

- Where, exactly, is this ship?
- What constitutes "rehabilitation"?
- Is there some kind of new prisoner FAQ available? Guide to prison life? Anything like that?

That's about it.

[ Maybe an hour or so after his post, he finally gets his shit together enough to leave his room and look around. Might as well learn everything he can about this place.

He can be found everywhere. Yes, everywhere. Well, everywhere inmates are allowed into. Okay, not other people's cabins. Most places, then. He's just walking around, snooping really, giving off a vibe of aloofness and devil-may-care-ness. ]

I'm sorry about that. The kidnapping part. [She's been there, bro.]

But try to look at this as an opportunity. I know it's difficult, right now, but you can use this place. It's not perfect, but it's helped a lot of people.

Not if you give up before you start.

I SAW NOTHING

Yep.

Whatever you wanted, you're here now. And if you don't try, you'll either be stuck here forever, or you'll be dead.

Yeah, the Admiral isn't really subtle about the whole thing. [Strong-arming people into redemption still seems wrong-footed to her, but hey.]

It's not ideal, but you're better off accepting the situation than railing against it. One gets you out, one doesn't.

There's the spirit.

You finish Chromie's pamphlet?

No, it covers everything pretty well.

There's this, too, if you want an Inmate's take.

I'd like to say he chose wisely, but in the end we're just people. We screw up.

Don't write of all the Inmates, though.

If your interests involve getting the hell out of here, we're supposed to help with that.

It's not mind games. ...Well, ideally.

It's about helping you figure out what went wrong, and how to fix it.
